This promotes all aspects of work experience as benefiting students, employers and the UK economy as a whole. It is the first place for anyone in education seeking to establish a work experience programme.

Edina has a particularly interesting, if somewhat subject specific, example of simulated work experience in the area of geography/ planning.

The aim is for the students to propose the optimum location for locating wind turbines while minimizing their visual impact. They solve the problem using a geographical information system to integrate significant amounts of conflicting information from a range of data sources.
